Possibly the most remarkable achievement in the history of Lowerhouse 2XI, this millennium. With an average age of 15 a score of 221 was the stuff of dreams, prior to commencement. Accrington came within 9 runs and great credit goes to elder statesman (!!) and skipper Jamie Woodall (u19) whose 14 overs 2-27 were crucial in halting the Accrington advance.
The 4XI matches are organised in an ad hoc fashion to provide the most promising youngsters with an introduction to senior cricket. Some of the u13/14s play with Belvedere 3XI and are learning their long match trade under Ben Webster. This was the first opportunity to bring them under the 4XI banner.
The performance was excellent.

The under 13 Panthers are the u13s full 11 a-side team and made up of the Lions , Tigers and Cougars pairs sides to form a full team playing full cricket as opposed to pairs cricket.
Because this format is crucial to player development this team is selected entirely on performance. Players from this team will be most likely to move on to District u13 cricket. Jack Simm represents the County at u13.
This is an exciting team with over half eligible to play next season as they are under 12s.
