Lowerhouse join Ramsbottom at the top after winning a thriller against Haslingdenat the Brooks Foundation Ground. Veteran Chris Bleazard was the hero, hitting an unbeaten 46 to steer Lowerhouse to 152-9 and then taking a fine catch on the boundary to end the valiant innings of Alex Marcroft and seal the victory with 4 balls to go. Lewis McIntosh took 4-44 and professional Babar Naeem 3-15 from 14 overs to have the home side struggling at 87-8. Enter Bleazard who hit three fours and two sixes in adding 42 for the 9th wicket with Paddy Martin (25) and 23 for the last wicket with Dominic Stuart (1 not out). Jon Finch also made 20, professional Dieter Klein 16 and Joe Hawke 15. Haslingden were also struggling at 86-7 but Marcroft hit three sixes and a four in a 92 ball career best innings of 56. He added 24 with skipper Jordan Shannon (6), 24 with Jake Neary (7) and 15 with last man Sean Hunsley (4 not out) before perishing going for glory in the final over.
